A weekend of free exhibitions – Open Art Days

Come and see the most famous exhibitions of the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016. On this special occasion – the Closing Weekend of the ECoC Wrocław 2016 Programme – admission to selected museums in Wrocław will be free. For three days, the most famous exhibitions that visited Wrocław will be available to everyone.

We are going to see, among others Summer Rental  at the Four Domes’ Pavilion, featuring works from the collection of Erich Marx, including masterpieces by Andy Warhol, The Wrocław Europe exhibition at the National Museum, presenting creations by Bartholomeus Strobel, one of the most outstanding artists in the 17th century Central Europe, “Photography Never Dies”  at the Main Railway Station, which lets the visitors explore the history of photography from the moment of its creation, and where the historic works are juxtaposed with contemporary photographs from Instagram or Flickr. Free exhibition weekend – Open Art Days. We will also be able to see the “Lviv. 24 June 1937. City, Architecture, Modernism” exhibition at the Museum of Architecture, devoted to the modernist architecture and urban design of Lviv in the interwar period, as well as the permanent exhibition titled “Wrocław 1945-2016” at the Zajezdnia History Centre, devoted to the contemporary history of the city, reconstruction after the war and the creation of Solidarity.
