AIM (Artists’ Initiatives’ Meetings) is a network of artistic initiatives linking their engagements and exhibitions from eleven European countries including Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Holland, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.  AIM was established in order to create a common platform for both swapping experience and knowledge as well as to increase visibility alongside mobility from the undertaken activities. Moreover, this international network has provided feasible access to various artistic organizations, professionals as well as general public.

13-14 May 2016, Wrocław, BARBARA: infopunkt / kawiarnia / kultura ul. Świdnicka 8c

Art initiatives from all over Europe discussing possibilities, limitations and challenges. Artists taking matters into their own hands, opening their own galleries and other spaces to present their projects. A platform for knowledge and experience sharing, and for increasing the visibility and mobility of actions. Practice, inspirations, networking. 


☛ 13 May (Friday)
14:00–15:30 Expert seminar for creators interested in self-organisation of artists, and summary of previous day’s discussions
16:00 – 17:30 Supermarket Artist-Run Art Fair and AIM Network – presentation and discussion; host: Andreas Ribbung 

☛ 14 May (Satrday)
18:00 – “Abracadabra. Politics of Collaboration” Exhibition vernissage. Presentation of works by artists associated with artist-run initiatives. A project devoted to broadly defined collaboration. 

Admission free.

>> 12 May will be a day for thematic meetings and discussions in working groups. They will feature representatives of various initiatives from Europe, including Poland, and students from the Wrocław Academy of Art and Design. The guests will also visit the Wykwit and Entropia galleries.
