Announcing the programme of the 7th American Film Festival!

The 7th American Film Festival will take place in Wrocław on October 25-30. The programme of this year’s edition, included in the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016 event programme, comprises 100 feature films: 58 of them will be presented in Poland for the very first time, and 6 of them are European premières.

On October 25 (Tuesday), the festival will open with the premiere of Paterson by Jim Jarmusch – the revelation of this year’s Cannes Festival, starring Adam Driver. On Sunday, October 30, the festival will end with Nocturnal Animals by Tom Ford, winner of the Silver Lion in Venice – a modern noir film with hypnotising music by Abel Korzeniowski, with breath-taking performances by Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal.

The programme also contains famous productions, coming to Wrocław after being presented at the most important festivals in Europe and the world, including American Honey by Andrea Arnold (Jury Award in Cannes), Personal Shopper by Olivier Assayas, starring Kirsten Stewart (Best Script in Cannes), Swiss Army Man by Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan, featuring Daniel Radcliffe and Paul Dano (recognised at Sundance Festival for directing). We are also going to see Loving by Jeff Nichols – a film which garnered considerable attention in the United States, also presented in Cannes, as well as Moonlight by Barry Jenkins, the phenomenon of the Toronto Festival.
