Competitions for composers | Polish National Competition for Choir Composers

On 18 January 2016 the Jury delivered their decision in the “Polish National Competition for Choir Composers WROCŁAW—EUROPEAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE”, organised by the Faculty of Composition and the Faculty of Choral Art of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław

The Competition Jury decided to give out the 

1st Award
for TUTELARIS WRATISLAVIAE
to: Przemysław Szczotka

Two 3rd Awards
- for ORATIO PRO PACE 
to: Sonia Brauhoff
and for TERRA INCONSTANS
to: Michał Janocha

Distinction
for FESTUNG
to: Krzysztof Pachołek

CONGRATULATIONS!

The participants had to compose a piece for choir, commemorating the title of the European Capital of Culture 2016 being awarded to Wrocław, inspired by the culture or history of the city. The goal was to select an exceptional work to be performed during the 7th International Conducting Choir Competition TOWARDS POLYPHONY in 2016.
