European Film Awards: Q&A with actor Pierce Brosnan

Popular Irish actor Pierce Brosnan began his career in the U.K. In Wroclaw, he will receive the European Film Academy award on December 10, 2017, during the European Film Awards gala.

While Mr. Brosnan is known for his bold roles in James Bond films, the Academy appreciated his performances in other works, stating that his characters inspire reflection. Brosnan, starred in a number of very interesting films, such as The Fourth Protocol, Around the World in 80 Days, The Lawnmower Man, Mrs. Doubtfire, Dante's Peak, The Tailor of Panama, Mamma Mia! and Ghost Writer. As an agent of Her Majesty, he appeared four times in Bond films: GoldenEye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002).

Mr. Brosnan is so synonymous with the stylish English gentleman, which along with acting prowess helped him land the role of Agent 007 in the James Bond franchise. Although, ultimately, it came time for a new agent played by Daniel Craig, the name of the fifth Bond continues to produce automatic association with elegance.
