Görlitzer ART

Görlitz, Wrocław

Görlitzer ART is an exhibition of contemporary arts located in the public space of Görlitz.  The exhibition includes a display of artworks created by artists from Wrocław – the European Capital of Culture 2016. The participants include acclaimed artists from Wroclaw and Lower Silesia region as well as young adepts of arts and students of Geppert Academy of Fine Arts. Their installations and objects open a new perspective on urban fabrics of historical architecture of this German city.

Their ambiguous and creative, but also controversial works invite viewers to a dialogue with art, the city and its inhabitants.  Their artwork will displayed between the main train station and the Old Town Bridge and together will create unique artistic trail. 
Görlitzer ART is a mutual project of Görlitz and Wrocław, realized under curator’s care of Geppert Academy of Fine Arts of Wrocław and coordinated by Kultur.Service Görlitz.
