The “Dream States” project is a proposition of a multi-levelled approach to working with dreams and imagination in a performative practice. The “Dream States” performance is based on the dreams of the performers, who were involved in the work on the show: Aleksandra Osowicz, Weronika Pelczyńska and Anna Nowicka. The project explores their subconscious, which becomes a source and inspiration for movement, choreography and space arrangement. On the stage, the personal material of each dancer will be presented in its original, “personal” and thus sensitive form, demonstrated through dance. At the same time, by working with a camera and a projector (the projections are recorded “live” and screened during the performance), their personal experiences from dreams, which are a source of the movement will be amplified and published as a media product, separated from the experience of a person.

The issues of privacy and publishing will be raised by work, based on three specific roles and perspectives: those of a performer, witness and observer, which the dancers will assume and will switch on the fly during the performance. The show will be rooted in a deeply personal, delicate and fragile dream material, which will be framed in the course of the performance by using a camera, inflated, made a news information, which potentially assigns another meaning to the original experience of a person.

“DAILY MADNESS”
Solo Tobias M. Draeger
A man in an office, surrounded by countless items. The office walls are like a reflection of his thoughts. The performance shows the fight between the neurotic compulsion to organise things, the surrounding chaos and a great will to be free. Did you experience it between meetings? Timetables? Did you experience the daily madness? A simple desire to shape your world, like your own schedule in such a way, so that you can find yourself easily.
What can be the result of imbalance and anger?
“DAILY MADNESS”, choreographed by Tobias Draeger won the 2nd place in the best contemporary solo dance competition.

Tobias M. Draeger was born in 1981 in Germany, he studied acting and contemporary dance at the Vienna Conservatory and SEAD in Salzburg. He gathered his first professional experiences with Sebastian Prantl / Keith Johnstone and M. Obertschneider in Vienna.
