The exhibition will be dedicated to the modernist architecture and urban development of interwar Lviv. The selected most important accomplishments of the Lviv architectural circles from those times will reveal a picture of one of the most significant centres of modernity of the 2nd Polish Republic.

The exhibition will be dedicated to the modernist architecture and urban development of Lviv in times of the Second Polish Republic. The intention of the Museum of Architecture is to present the most important exemplary achievements of the Lviv architectural circles, including urban plans illustrating the growth of Lviv in the 1920s and 30s as well as selected public utility and residential buildings, the architecture of the Eastern Trade Fair and interior design. What can also be seen at the exhibition is a collection of original blueprints, building models, photographs, archival films as well as works of art and posters documenting the architecture of Lviv against its historical background. Lviv is about to be presented as one of the centres of modernity of the 2nd Polish Republic, as a place where modernist architecture and urban planning thrived, and where the Lviv University of Technology would educate architects who promoted the latest achievements in architecture all across the country. The title, being a randomly chosen date without any major significance for the city history, will highlight the fact that the starting point for the exhibition was simply the everyday life perspective of city dwellers. Nevertheless, it is exactly the everyday life of Lviv that became a pretext for emphasising the uniqueness of Lviv and its unquestioned importance for the 20th century modernity. The exhibition will be accompanied by an extensive catalogue released in Polish and English, containing essays written by both Polish and Ukrainian researchers as well as a wide selection of iconographic material.
