Wroclaw’s Europe

20 September – 31 December 2016
Place: National Museum in Wrocław, pl. Powstańców Warszawy 5
The exhibition represents a multicultural, multicolor character as well as important status of Silesia achieved in the past centuries. The main reason for organizing this international event is to remind about one of the most magnificent and most beautiful artworks, which is presently almost completely absent in the awareness of Poles and Silesians.

This is a painting, closely linked to this region, titled "The Feast of Herod and the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist” created by Bartolomaeus Strobl, currently part of the collection of the Museo del Prado in Madrid.

Curator: Ewa Houszka
Organizer: National Museum in Wrocław
